According to a listing on major real estate property website, Rightmove, the 7-bedroom 18th century converted church is up for sale with the seller willing to accept Bitcoin as payment.
According to the website “The vendor is willing to accept the cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) as a method of payment. The final sale price in BTC is to be agreed and confirmed with the vendor and will depend on the market valuation of BTC at the time of sale.”
The listing follows news earlier this year, reported that major Bitcoin-oriented real estate project Aston Plaza had “no more units available to purchase”. According to the Aston Plaza website, the venture now only offers studios as well as one- and two-bedroom apartments that can be bought with Bitcoin.
Back in July, a luxury villa located in Paris, Anna Villa, became the first-ever European property sold entirely through a blockchain transaction. The €6.5 million property was sold to French real estate investors Sapeb Immobilier and Valorcim over the Ethereum blockchain using blockchain investment platform Esquisafe.
Real estate has emerged as a sector where Bitcoin can flourish and be utilized for purchases. Companies such as Bitcoin Real Estate now allows you to buy or sell your home directly in Bitcoin and lists properties worldwide for sale that can be purchased using crypto.
